IGIGI Valencia Maxi Dress Review
When IGIGI by Yuliya Raquel contacted me asking to do a review of one of their pieces I happily accepted! I feel that it's important to spread the good word and support plus size fashion as much as possible, to review and inspire other plus size females out there about available plus size clothing.
First of all I want to thank Igigi for giving me this opportunity and also to state that this review is a 100% my own opinions.
I instantly fell in love with the Valencia Maxi dress when I saw it online, I was drawn to it by its vibrant print and color. I have a new found love for bright blue! And it was just as lovely in reality. The dress is a size 14/16, and I'm a 14 on top and 16 below so it was a perfect fit! The materials of this dress is Poly/Elastane and Chiffon, On top the fabric is really soft and comfortable, and the chiffon skirt flutters and moves nicely in the wind and when you walk it flows. It feels very luxurious.
It has a side zipper right under the arm, but I could put it on without having to open it, which I like because I always struggle with zippers ha-ha!
The print on the skirt online on the front looks different in reality, I just noticed later on, however it's not a big deal, I still like how the print is placed. But just keep that in mind.
I love the empire waist, it really flatters my curves and hides my "problem" area, the tummy! :)
And I know this dress will flatter any women's curves and make you feel super comfortable and have your confidence shine ;)
So this dress is a bit pricey but it's definitely a piece that you can both wear to a special occasion or on an everyday basis, I think it's very important that when you make an "investment" in a more expensive dress it's important that you get the most use out of it and not have it hang in your closet and collect dust :P I am an expert on that ha-ha but I'm getting better at dressing down dressy clothing pieces.
To illustrate how you can wear this dress on an everyday basis, even though you might think it looks too dressy, I pair the dress together with my favorite cropped denim jacket, together with my vibrant blue sandals. I added a pop of color yellow earrings, bracelets and a statement ring.
I originally brought heels for this photo shoot but I felt so much more comfortable in flats and kept them on, keeping it real ;)
I'm 5,4", a shorty, so the only negative is that the dress is a little too long for me. I stepped on the skirt a couple of times, bit whit heels that wouldn't be a problem. You can always have the dress helmet as well, for the perfect length.
My friend Eunice took these amazing shots, it was a lot of fun and we went to this amazing park area in Hoboken New Jersey, where you had an amazing view of New York City. I will forever be mesmerized with the NYC Skyline.
It was a the perfect backdrop to showcase the lovely Valencia Maxi Dress.

|I love the back of the dress, it's not too low and it's comfortable.|
