Maurices "One Button Boyfriend Blazer" review
One button Boyfriend Blazer from Maurices size 2. Nude tank top from Target, Men's jeans size 40 from Walmart, Thin belt from HM, Heels from JcPenny, Earrings from Accessory shop in NYC.
As I will forever be a huge supporter of spreading the love for plus size fashion, for all possible retailers that offer young plus size women fashionable clothes, I happily accepted Maurices offer when they contacted me about wanting to do a review. As I don't get this offer very often, I always find myself feeling really honored and special to have been one of the chosen to be able to do this. So I gratefully accepted! :) Thank you Maurices!
Maurices are a women's fashion retailer based in Minnesota with over 800 stores nationwide (I'm missing one here in NJ :P) But you can just as well very easily order from them online.
They sell affordable clothing for young women in ALL sizes!
This "One button Boyfriend Blazer" caught my eye right away!
Honest to god I have been looking for that perfect fitting blazer for the longest time, and when I tried it on for the first time I was amazed over just how comfortable it is, SO comfortable! What a score! I got it in a size 2 (Their plus sizes chart is 0-4) And I chose that size by measuring my body to reassure the perfect fit. (I highly recommend it)
The Blazer has a feminine cut and it really flatters the waist with the one button closure, and I totally adore the cinched sleeves. It fits my arms comfortably, which is really important. No tugging or pulling, the blazer is light weight, it has enough stretch to be able to move around with without any restrictions.
It is also so versatile, I'm already picturing future outfits with this blazer. :P You can wear it with dressy pants for a special occasion or business meeting/work, or dress it down with a pair of skinny jeans for a more casual look.
For this post I decided to go for the more casual boyfriend look :) since the blazer is called "boyfriend blazer". I pair it with a pair of men's jeans that I'm going to make cut off jean shorts out of soon, but thought "Hey! Why not roll them up and wear them in an outfit first". (Who says plus size ladies can't wear baggy pants?! It totally works) :D Add a classic pair of peep-toe heels one statement piece, in this case these super chic earrings and the look is complete. Totally adore it!
I'm so happy I finally found the perfect black blazer!
You can find the blazer here. And be sure to check out their plus size line!
This blazer is definitely going to be my "go to" piece in the future when I start going on job interviews, can't wait! Wish me luck in my job hunting. (I've been applying like crazy these past few days so...fingers crossed I get a call back.)
